The Teen Club of Sierra County
AppleTree is proud to partner with The Club of Sierra County as its primary fiscal sponsor. The Club is a non-profit organization opened in 2008, serving 250 unduplicated youth 6th grade through 12th grade in the community. Years of research confirm that youth who participate in after school programs can reap a host of positive academic, social, prevention, and health benefits, such as: improved academic achievement, improved social and developmental outcomes, increased percentage of healthy lifestyles, and increased knowledge of nutrition and exercise. The research further shows that out-of-school time activities for youth have posi tive impacts on a range of prevention outcomes includ ing avoidance of drug and alcohol use, decreases in delinquency and violent behavior, increased knowledge of safe sex, avoidance of sexual activity, and reduction in juvenile crime.
Youth Programming Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Youth Programming School Time Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Administrative: Monday through Thursday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
